July 3, 2019 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is excited to announce Sporting NTX as a new league member kicking off with the 2019 Fall Season.

Based in North Dallas (Texas), Sporting NTX will begin play in UPSL Division II Central Conference North Section, and is finalizing its venue options in compliance with UPSL Minimum Standards.

United Premier Soccer League National Director Matt Kahla said, "We are excited to welcome Sporting NTX to the UPSL Central Conference. In talking with owner David Gill and hearing his vision for his club, I know Sporting NTX will be a good fit to start in UPSL Division II in the Central Conference. His previous club was ready to grow in North Texas, and they were looking to step up a level. They did their due diligence in choosing deciding between their options, so now we look forward together as they take on that challenge starting this upcoming Fall Season."

David Gill is Owner of Sporting NTX. A native of Dallas, Gill, 32, was a four-year varsity player at Frisco (Texas) High School and trialed with a number of professional clubs in Croatia. He currently is a Senior Account Manager for a Carrolton (Texas)-based Orkin.

Sporting NTX Owner David Gill said, "We're excited to be a member of the UPSL. We were playing in the North Texas Premier Soccer Association First Division for 5 or 6 years under 'Clearly Offside Football Club', but that's changing as we join the UPSL. It's clear that the league is doing in the right way. We're looking for better fields, better soccer, and what the UPSL can do for a group of players in their late-20s and early-30s, who they want to pass the club off to a younger generation of players and start the club's youth academy in the very near future, the league is the most cooperative soccer environment in the country."

Dru Wright, 32, currently serves as Head Coach. A native of Jackson (Miss.), Wright played professionally in Brazil with FC Rio de Janeiro, and currently is a coach with Borussia Dortmund International Academy.

Sporting NTX will host its next round of tryouts in mid-July. The club will announce its upcoming game schedule.
